Impact
The San Francisco Disability Business Alliance supports a community of over 150 Disability-Owned Businesses (81% women, 95% BIPOC, 90% LMI, 15% Veterans) working in diverse industries, including Food & Hospitality, Creative Arts & Media, Health & Wellness and more. SFDBA has enabled access to over $100,000 in capital for small businesses through sources such as CDFIs and the State Department of Occupational Rehabilitation.
Every year, the Alliance shows the pathway to self-employment and entrepreneurship to 30+ entrepreneurs by offering its 8-weeks Future Entrepreneur Cohort program three times a year, with each cohort limited to 10–12 participants to ensure personalized attention and high-quality instruction.
“Peter pushed us to share our business ideas, encouraged peer feedback, and added insights from his own experience. Thanks to him, creating a business plan and networking with bankers and fellow entrepreneurs felt both possible and achievable.” - Andrew
“This cohort reinforced that hard work and drive builds confidence. I was able to take my small business to another level by working on my business plan and pitch! Without Peter and his team's assistance, I would not have been able to do so.” - Della
