Small Business Week

Every year, the U.S. Small Business Administration organizes the Small Business Week event during the month of May to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners. The week typically features events, awards, and opportunities to connect with resources and other business owners. 

As a community partner of the San Francisco Small Business Week organization, SFDBA hosts an event during to elevate the awareness and profile of the disability business community.

San Francisco Disability Business Alliance hosted a pivotal panel discussion emphasizing the critical role that accessibility plays in the growth and success of small businesses. We were honored to host this gathering at the San Francisco Main Public Library, a venue with a strong commitment to accessibility and community support.

Our panelists shared their stories and insights with authenticity and optimism, and reminded us that accessibility is not just about compliance—it’s about building a better, more inclusive future for all. Accessibility is also a powerful driver of connection, innovation, and business growth—especially for small businesses, which have the agility to lead with purpose.
