SFDBA was invited to participate in a keynote address and American Sign Language (ASL) workshop at the Levi Strauss & Co Disability Pride celebration organized by its A.B.L.E. (Adapting Beyond Limits & Expectations) Employee Resource Group.

To launch Disability Pride Month, CLC hosted a creative, life-sized adaptation of the classic Wheel of Life game at the San Francisco Public Library. The event was moderated by Peter DeHaas, SFDBA Founder and Executive Director, and brought together community members for an inspiring afternoon of storytelling and dialogue.

As SFDBA continues to expand its services for the inclusion of Deaf community, we could not miss the opportunity to participate to the National Association of the Deaf (NAD)58th Biennial Conference held in San Francisco.

More than 100 participants, notorious speakers, inspiring stories and a community growing stronger through networking and partnerships.

The second annual Bay Area Disability Entrepreneurship Week was a success and filled with training sessions, visits of small disability owned businesses including Helpers Boutique and Red Bay Coffee. The week closed with an in-person networking event.

San Francisco Disability Business Alliance held its kickoff breakfast in San Francisco with over 100 participants including disability owned businesses, small business supports, advocates, students, local leaders, elected officials and allies.
